All ticket sales from the new Smurfs film will go towards the Sony Foundation’s Children’s Holiday Camp Program. This holiday camp program allows families that have children with special needs to have a weekend off. How nice is this!
The camps are for three days and hosted at high schools and universities around Australia. The camp pairs high school and university students with kids who have special needs. The program began in 1999 with one camp at a Sydney School and has grown to 26 camps in 46 schools.
Check out to see if your local cinema is having these special screenings? See the new Smurfs film and give to charity at the same time. What a feel good day out!
The Sony Foundation does some great work. If you can check out all the fabulous things they do as well as the Children’s Holiday Camp.
