May Self-Care Challenge

May is my favourite month, and maybe this has something to do with the fact that it’s my birthday month.

I’ve put together a valuable list of 31 practical ways to help you feel better. Taking care of yourself matters—if the past few years have shown us anything, it’s that self-care isn’t optional, it’s essential.

  1. Meditate for 10mins a day
  2. Go for a walk
  3. Start an online course
  4. Listen to a podcast
  5. Listen to loud music
  6. Have lunch at a cafe
  7. Catch up with friends
  8. Go swimming
  9. Have quiet time alone
  10. Do yoga
  11. Get a massage
  12. Write the book you have always wanted to
  13. Learn to paint
  14. Get a manicure
  15. Have meals delivered
  16. Shop online to maximise your time
  17. Book time with a stylist
  18. Have a facial
  19. Hire a trainer
  20. Read a book
  21. Visit the hairdresser for a new do
  22. Join a networking group
  23. Take a road trip
  24. Save money for a rainy day fund (I know this is not exciting, but if something happens, you will be glad you have the extra cash)
  25. Spend time at a day spa
  26. Join a local group that you are interested in (what about drama, photography, or drawing)
  27. Have a pedicure
  28. Shop for a new outfit
  29. Outsource your housework
  30. Stay at a hotel for a few nights
  31. Schedule time in for you (Make sure you put the time in your diary for just you. This time is not getting booked out for work meetings, and is just for you!)
