This post is in partnership with Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.

Have you and the kids wanted to SING but did not make it to the movies?

I took the kids to see it while it was still showing at the local cinema, however they are really wanting to see it again.

If you missed out or are like me, you can soon stop waiting. The Australian release of SING on DVD and Blu-Ray will soon be here!

What is SING About?

Buster Moon (Academy Award® winner Matthew McConaughey), a very well dressed Koala who runs a theatre that has fallen on hard times. Buster is upbeat and a delusional optimist who tries everything and anything to save his much beloved theatre.

Moon decides his last chance is to produce the world’s greatest singing competitions. Watch and fall in love with all that try out for this memorable singing contest.
“Five lead contestants emerge: Mike (MacFarlane), a mouse who croons as smoothly as he cons; Meena (Kelly), a timid teenage elephant with an enormous case of stage fright; Rosita (Witherspoon), an overtaxed mother run ragged tending a litter of 25 piglets; Johnny (Egerton), a young gangster gorilla looking to break free of his family’s felonies; and Ash (Johansson), a punk-rock porcupine struggling to shed her arrogant boyfriend and go solo.”

“Each arrives under Buster’s marquee believing that this is their shot to change the course of their life. And as Buster coaches each of his contestants closer and closer to the grand finale, he starts to learn that maybe the theatre isn’t the only thing that needs saving.”

SING stars: Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Seth MacFarlane, Scarlett Johansson, John C. Reilly, Taron Egerton, and Tori Kelly.

From writer/director Garth Jennings, Sing is produced by Illumination Entertainment founder and CEO Chris Meledandri and his longtime collaborator Janet Healy. Sing is released by Universal Pictures.

Having the SING movie on hand before the school holidays is a smart move. My kids love to have movie days and if the weather keeps on raining we might have more of them.

Our movie days normally consist of never getting out of our pj’s and making a bed on the floor in the living room. This means that all bedding, pillows and anything soft gets added to the floor. It’s a lot of fun, and rather relaxing. What are your movie days like?

Our next movie day will feature, SING and the twins are super excited.

If you have seen SING the movie?  Which character is your favourite?  I have a few, although I do love the pig otherwise known as Rosita. I love her ingenuity for all the inventions she created to allow her to compete in the singing contest. A very smart lady, or lady pig I should say.

Make sure to keep your eyes peeled to ensure you can snap up a copy of SING when it is released on March 29th.

I’m sure your kids and family will love it as much as we do.
