What is with the obsession with having your headlights on high beam all the time! Last night I nearly got run off the road by an idiot who went up the bum of my car with his/her high beam on! It was late at night, I had the twins in the car with me and due to the silly person behind me I was finding it hard to see anything at all.

Why is it fine to drive close to another car at night and with super zappy lights? What will this achieve? I could have had an accident, then would this person have stopped to help?

I always thought that high beam was meant to be used when you have no other cars around to allow you see if it is darker than normal. Why is this not causing more accidents? Why don’t police pull people over for the over using your cars high beam?

Having your high beam on makes it impossible to see and hard to do anything! I was fine once the stupid person behind me overtook me on a bend, yes on a bend! And it was not just one car there were two of them. They sped away and left me to go back to doing 80km an hour and trying to focus my eyes after staring at the sun in the dark, yes that is how it felt.

Does this happen to you? Have you felt worried about it when it happens? I was a bit worried and concerned that they were going to make me have an accident.

C’mon police please make sure that people are not harassing others with their high beam! It was scary.

I hate highbeams too. They really hurt your eyes when people use them in the middle of the city.

Glad I am not the only one. I think they are dangerous. They do serve a purpose but you should not have them on all the time and of course when you are behind someone to blind them!

What do you think?
